On 18 August 2026, at 18:30, at Spazio Aperto, Via dell’Arco 38, Santa Margherita Ligure, Corrado Fizzarotti presented Continuità. Ripensare la nostra relazione con il non-umano in conversation with Pino Petruzzelli. The event brought the book’s philosophical inquiry into dialogue with Petruzzelli’s theatrical attention to nature, places and the people who inhabit them.
How can the welfare of an individual animal, the protection of ecosystems and the needs of human communities be considered together? These questions framed a discussion of continuity as a way of understanding relationships between individuals and natural systems. Mary Midgley, pragmatism and enactivism provided the philosophical background.
The initiative involved the A. e A. Vago civic library, the Municipality of Santa Margherita Ligure and Fondazione Il Mondo. The institutional programme and a report of the meeting document its context.
